Biological Science: DNA Replication

We're getting to the end of science week here at Lifeformation but there are a couple days left so don't fret! This little info-graphic simply describes how DNA replication works. It's simple, but always good to know.

  1. Yes, good to know. Next time I need to replicate DNA I will know exactly what to do! lol

  2. I had this same exact picture in my molecular bio book 2 semesters ago. Can you guess what happens as a result of super coiling due to the topoisomerase?

  3. I guess I'll go out and make a few clones of myself!

  4. I *think* I got the general idea... Biology never was my strong point :P

But it's a good diagram for those wanting to refresh their memory on their existing knowledge.

  16. Mind was blown in high school biology the second I realized A could only pair with T, and G with C. It's such a brilliant mechanism to replicate the DNA. Not really related to your graphic, but it reminded me of that.

But, lettuce be reality, DNA replication overall has got to be one of the most fascinating mechanisms in all of biology.
